Brian K Forte is retired from the Guilderland Police Department where he was the Community Service Supervisor, overseeing the Youth Services Division, Explorer Post, Crime Prevention Unit, and RAD. He was also the SRO and for Guilderland School District and Juvenile Officer for the police department for 15 years. Brian was a Region Representative for Region 4 of the SNYJPOA, and rose through the ranks of the Executive Board. In 2010 he became President. As a Past President of this association, he taught the SRO and Juvenile Officer courses around the state, becoming the first Training Director in 2011. He was awarded Youth Officer of the Year in 2011. He became Executive Director in March of 2014. As the Executive Director, he has the responsibility of overseeing the day to day operations and finances of the State of New York Police Juvenile Officers Association. He has represented the SNYPJOA at a seat on the Governors Strategic Planning Action Committee on Juvenile Justice as well as the Disproportionate Minority Contact Commitee. He also was part of the committee to create the updated SRO curriculum.
